City Centre D.C. marks Qatari Diar's first significant U.S. investment — a prominent, pedestrian-friendly community on a 4.5-block parcel in the heart of downtown Washington, close to two Metro stations and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Designed by Foster + Partners, the large-scale development includes extensive office space, around 674 homes, underground parking for 1,550 vehicles, retail plazas and an integrated public park. It has received LEED® Neighbourhood Development Gold certification for its efficient use of water and energy.
